YOLANDA'S PAINTING AUCTIONED IN NETHERLANDS CALANGUTE, Feb 3: “Devil in Man”, a painting by Goa’s renowned artist Yolanda D’Souza, was auctioned at Haque Auction House in Netherlands on February 1, according to a message received by her today from an art lover – Bart - in that country. The beautiful painting, along with the creative work of several other contemporary artists, had earlier been auctioned at Fort Aguada Beach Resort, Sinquerim-Goa, to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Gujarat. Thereafter none of the artists had heard anything about the paintings, until Yolanda received an email message from Bart, who located her email id by accessing the internet. Yolanda disclosed the information to us at her Galeria & Studio, in Calangute, at the inauguration of "Sacrifice" and exhibition of the paintings of Goan Sonia Rodrigues Sabharwal. (GoaNewsClips)
