College Goal Sunday provides help for students - and parents - Boonville Daily News

There is an electronic resource which make filing for the FAFSA easier. (The Boonville High School homepage www.boonville.k12.mo.us contains links to FAFSA sites). FAFSA on the Web is an internet-based version of the paper FAFSA. By using FAFSA on the web you can speed up the FAFSA application process by about three weeks and allow the federal processor to do a final check of your information and alert you to any typographical errors of dates or Social Security Numbers. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov and click “Before Beginning a FAFSA” to get started.Additionally, it is recommended that families use their 1040 Federal tax return (2005) for reporting income and taxes paid. If you don't have taxes complete by the March 1 priority deadline for the FAFSA or by College Goal Sunday on February 12, estimate your income for 2005 by using check stubs and asset information.File the FAFSA using estimates and then, once taxes are complete, access the website and with an electronic PIN number on the site, electronically correct the information on the FAFSA form.Time is of the essence - financial aid deadlines for the fall term 2006 arrive as early as March 1, 2006.For more information about College Goal Sunday, contact - more available
