Keep track of the academic achievements of area students and former classmates as they work toward earning their degrees.ONEONTA — Hartwick College senior Brian Moynihan of Dolgeville, the son of Leslie Hayner and Jeffrey Moynihan, participated in Hartwick’s January term off-campus program in Big Bend National Park in Texas. Students enrolled in “High Mountain Desert Geology and Ecology” learn geology and ecology while exploring canyons carved by the Rio Grande River and by hiking in the Chihuahuan Desert and the Chisos Mountains. Moynihan is majoring in management. At Hartwick, he has participated in Legacy Association, the ski club and Tau Kappa Epsilon. Moynihan is a graduate of Ilion High School.MORRISVILLE — Five local Morrisville State College students were named to the dean’s list.
