Moore leads Blue Jays' all-UMAC football selections - Fulton Sun
Westminster College junior lineman Josh Moore has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference South Division defensive player of the year, and is one of 16 Blue Jays to make the 2005 all-UMAC football team. Westminster's John Welty also was selected UMAC South Division coach of the year. Welty is 37-30 in seven seasons with the Blue Jays. He has directed Westminster to three South Division titles (2003, 2004 and 2005) and two UMAC championships (2003 and 2004).Moore finished third on the team with 59 tackles, led Westminster with 11 tackles for losses and shared the team lead with 5.5 sacks.In addition to Moore, other Blue Jays chosen to the South Division first team were senior punter Jeff Gomulinski, junior defensive back Nick Diefenbach, junior defensive lineman Issachar Jarrett, sophomore offensive lineman Justin Thompson, sophomore tight end Michael Harris, sophomore wide receiver Chad Lane and freshman linebacker Neil McCutcheon.Westminster players named to the second team included senior defensive backs Colby Beal and Ryan P.
