--> --> Cloudy 48°5 Day Forecast TAYLOR A high-speed chase involving four police departments ended in an arrest Thursday night.An off-duty Taylor police officer saw Casimir A. Fila, 69, driving north on South Main Street, weaving into oncoming traffic, at 10:41 p.m., Taylor Officer Kevin Froese said. Mr. Fila, who has addresses in Avoca and Factoryville, reached speeds of up to 70 mph and drove on sidewalks. He hit a Blakely police car barricading his route at the Blakely-Dickson City border, forcing an officer to jump down a hill, police said. Mr. Fila turned toward Scranton and smashed into a Dickson City police car along the 700 block of Main Street, police said.Mr. Fila was arrested at 11:10 p.m. He faces charges for traffic violations, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault, police said. No one was hurt.
