In 1969 — in what Mary Corrarino, senior vice president and lawyer at Manhattanville College, calls "the greatest anti-trust violation of all time" — every Ivy League school and the premier Catholic men's colleges, even those that had women's colleges, went coed. Foreseeing a drain in students, many women's colleges followed, though Sarah Lawrence in Yonkers was ahead of the curve and the boys, going coed in 1968.
