Maturango Museum to present its Open Art Studio Tour 2005 - Daily Independent
“This year is going to be bigger and better because the artists who didn’t participate last year are doing so this year and we have an enormous selection of art for the public to see,” said committee chairman, Pat Rogers.Artists included in this year’s tour are: Ruth Amster, painting; Skip Gorman, sculpture; Andrea Pelch, glass; Betty Spindler, ceramics; Barry Paulson, sculpture; Mary Cutsinger, painting; Lois Hinman, pottery and painting; Elegance with Attitude, jewelry; Barbara Andolsek, painting; Linda Jo Hamlin, jewelry; Pat Rogers, clay; Toni Wilkins, clay; Donnie Woods, painting; Larry and Coral Sawyer, clay and wood; Jerry Bradley, sculpture; Charylene Peterson, quilts; and Cerro Coso Community College represented by Paul Meyers and Dick Benson.The Open Art Studio Tour will allow artists to demonstrate their art and explain the techniques they use to make the pieces that they enjoy doing.There will be snacks at some of the studios to enable the visitors to keep going all day. Artwork can be purchased at the studios.A portion of all art sales will benefit the Maturango Museum and it’s programs.The work of the artists participating in the Open Art Studio Tour will be showcased in the Sylvia Winslow Art Gallery at the Maturango Museum - more available
