New national study shows Canadians face common nutrition problems TORONTO, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - Canadians have been making poor food choices, which has resulted in several micronutrient inadequacies and growing rates of obesity, according to the largest study in Canada of its kind, released today at the Preventive Nutrition Symposium in Toronto. The Canadian Dietary Intakes: 1990s study represents the very latest available data and reflects evolving dietary patterns. The study analyzes for the first time existing Provincial Nutrition Surveys conducted throughout a decade by each of Canada's 10 provinces(1).
