John Frederick Schwaller nominated to be next President of SUNY ... - SUNY Potsdam
"I very much appreciate the confidence shown me by Chancellor Ryan," said Dr. Schwaller. "Potsdam is wonderful institution of higher education and a vibrant community and, should the SUNY Board approve, leading the college would be a tremendous honor."Dr. Schwaller's career in higher education spans more than 30 years. From 1995-2001, Dr. Schwaller was associate provost and associate vice president for academic affairs at the University of Montana, Missoula. Previously, he was the director of the Academy of American Franciscan History at the Franciscan School of Theology, in Berkeley, California.
