Former Muscatine Journal editor Gil Dietz is producing this feature and welcomes comments and suggestions.MUSCATINE, Iowa - Like many young people before and after him, Richard Glatstein decided to head for the “golden west” of California when he graduated from Muscatine High School in 1954.Glatstein, 69, had a long and successful career of managing supermarkets in Southern California and now resides in Valley Village in suburban Los Angeles.
