Teens who have worked with One 2 One Mentors Inc. will be offering testimonies to other teens about drug and alcohol use in a Halloween themed event Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Silverado High School.Speakers at the Haunted Lives event will encourage teens to avoid drug and alcohol abuse by talking about how poor choices can lead to harmful situations.The fundraiser will benefit One 2 One Mentors Inc. The High Desert mentoring program is a community based organization that strives to educate teens on drug and alcohol abuse and how to manage anger and avoid violent situations. The event is sponsored by One 2 One Mentors, local schools and peer groups from the High Desert.Tickets are $5 at the door.
