Tempe painter's work going home to Massachusetts - Arizona Republic
In his 82 years, Tempe painter and art teacher Gene Corno has spent most of his existence sharing art with others, putting snapshots of life into paint and art into the hands of Arizona students. "I'm an old art teacher and painter," said Corno, who was born in Arizona, earned two art degrees at Arizona State University and taught art at Tempe High School, Phoenix College, South Mountain High School, and Mesa Community College before retiring 21 years ago. Now, Corno is hoping to give his paintings new life in the hands of those who would appreciate them the most. advertisement
