State Board faces community opposition - The Arbiter Online
DeCloss, mathematics professor at Northwest Nazarene University, said to compare Idaho’s test scores to countries like Korea, Japan and Ireland was flawed because more students attend private schools in those countries than in the U.S. According to DeCloss, the countries that lead in test scores have upwards of 30 percent of the student population in private, non-government education of some kind.
