The following are items of interest about mid-Missouri residents serving in the military. Marine Corps Lcpl. JAKOB M. CONNER, son of William and Cynthia, Ashland, reported for duty with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He joined the Marine Corps in April 2004.Conner is a 2004 graduate of Sapulpa High School, Sapulpa, Okla.Army National Guard Pvt. JULIA F. REINKEMEYER, daughter of Tony and Cheryl Reinkemeyer, Linn, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.During the nine weeks of training, Reinkemeyer studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training. She did drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.She is a 2005 graduate of Linn High School.Navy Seaman ANTHONY M.
