The Beauty of it all - Fort Worth Star Telegram
In one of the four stylists' chairs is a Mrs. Fields, who for 25 years has come in from Burleson to get her hair done at Delia's. She is 88 years old and when she lets her long hair down it flows across the back of her pale pink cardigan. She wears sensible rubber-soled shoes with laces. She carries a cane. But by the time the beautician is done, her hair is a pile of spun silver atop her head. She has the hairstyle of a 1960s prom queen, but on Mrs. Fields it is the regal hair of an empress. Only the crown is missing as she slowly makes her way out the door.
