The Maryland Institute College of Art said it was awarded a $360,000 Save America’s Treasures grant from a consortium of federal historic preservation and arts agencies to repair the exterior of the historic Mount Royal Station, which the college has occupied for the past four decades. MICA is the only Maryland recipient of a grant; in all, 61 organizations and agencies nationwide received grants through the program designed to conserve significant cultural treasures.
