Weekend puts brakes on student fare - Boston Globe
To complete track work between Braintree and North Quincy stations on the Red Line, bus shuttles will be in use today between the two stations. Normal Red Line service will return tomorrow morning. . . . Bus shuttles will also be used next Saturday and Sunday between Boston College and Babcock Street on the Green Line's B branch. Expect commutes to be 10 to 15 minutes longer than usual. . . . Reminder that the Green Line's rehabilitated Lechmere line opened yesterday. It's a cool ride, especially down into the tunnels beneath the TD Banknorth Garden. With that opening, the following routes return: E branch -- Lechmere to Heath via Huntington Avenue; C branch -- Cleveland Circle to North Street via Beacon Street; B branch -- Boston College to Government Center via Commonwealth Avenue; D branch -- Riverside to Government Center via the Highland branch. . . .
