Angry parents want Shelby schools chief fired - Jackson Clarion Ledger
Physics and advanced math teacher Reginald Quinn said he feels restricted too.A St. Louis native with degrees in physics from Jackson State University and the University of Michigan, Quinn is one of eight of the district's 65 teachers who went through either the national Teach for America program or Mississippi Teacher Corps. Those are similar programs that put college graduates without education degrees through training and help them find teaching jobs.Quinn, 25, said his college experience tells him what material the high school students need to master.
