Convention funding, now at $1.3million, will be phased out over four years, decreasing 25percent each year. Georgetown trustees will become a self-perpetuating board beginning next year. Georgetown pledges that 75percent of trustees will be Kentucky Baptists. Georgetown will continue to report to the convention's annual meeting. Convention still will provide scholarships. Georgetown and convention will jointly fund a campus minister. Convention and college will seek to cooperate in other ministries. Terms of agreement subject to approval during the annual meeting of Kentucky Baptist Convention Nov. 15-16, but Georgetown has legal right to withdraw even without a formal agreement. Agreement does not affect other colleges.
