The travelers traditionally migrate from South to North during the spring and back to the South in the winter after favorable weather for home improvement jobs, said Harold West, a former Allen County sheriff’s detective who is now a security officer at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. Northeast Indiana is on the traveling route in the spring and fall for some of the groups, he said.
