Thad Moore ATTENDANCE 1,000 DENOMINATION Interdenominational HISTORY The church was established in 1974 as an interdenominational congregation. In 1973 a small group began planning for the church and chartered the congregation in June 1974 with 124 members. The independent church includes members from a wide variety of denominational backgrounds. The Rev. Thad Moore says the church members share a common commitment to Jesus Christ. “That’s the bond that holds us together,” he says. “We want to share the gospel with the whole world.” ABOUT THE PASTOR Moore has been pastor of the church for six months. He came to the church from Meridian, Miss. Moore has been a pastor for 26 years. He has a master’s degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo., and a doctoral degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. Moore and his wife, Kim, have two grown children. Dick Lindman is an associate pastor, serving in the area of pastoral care. The church is seeking an associate pastor for young families.
