Philanthropist demands $24M from Albany recipients of his largesse - MSNBC
Silverman prefers payment over pats on the back. The lawsuits, filed in New York City, stem from a $14.8 million loan the Marty and Dorothy Silverman Foundation made to the University Heights Association to buy 31 acres that included the former Christian Brothers Academy campus. The land was used to create a campus for the four schools making up the UHA--Albany Law School, the Albany College of Pharmacy, The Sage Colleges and Albany Medical College.
