Bible inspires octogenarian to write, paint - Annapolis Capital
The tales of the Apocalypse, with the suffering, beasts and disasters were too much for her as a young girl watching her father preach at different churches. It wasn't until she became older that she came to understand it and share it.Her understanding and her desire to express it to others has also proved inspiring.Mrs. Gross, now 80, painted a series of images, called "Revelations: Images and Wonders" that will be displayed at the Sheraton Nov. 6. She also wrote a book, "Revelation: The Last Days" that will be published sometime in November by an Easton publisher. Her daughter, Ann Dorsey, helped edit the book."Most people don't read or understand (Revela-tions)," said Mrs. Gross, of Annapolis. "The first book of the Bible is Genesis and that explains the beginning of the world. Revelations is the last book and that tells about the end.
