Ribera Named New Rio Grande Valley Ag Economist - AgNews
"We compared the cost of producing cotton on 16 farms in five countries in South America to the costs incurred on 18 farms in the Cotton Belt of the United States," Ribera said. "There were no representative farms from the Lower Rio Grande Valley in this study, so I've been meeting with cotton producers here to develop a local database."
