Peerce is the son of Wilbur and the late Jerline Thompson Peerce of Peonia. He has a daughter, Morgan. He graduated from Leitchfield High School in 1972, then attended Bowling Green Technical Institute studying mechanical engineering and commercial art. In 1974, he began working in surrounding industries including Vermont-American, Walter T. Kelley Co., UPS and Campbell-Hausfeld, plus construction for many years before deciding to work for himself in the sign, graphics and art business. Peerce is the 26-year owner-founder of Peerce Signs, Inc., and has been involved in many county projects. As a member of the 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus, he served as secretary-treasurer for two years, receiving the state's highest award three years in sales during the Knights of Columbus State Convention Raffle. Peerce was very active as a board member of the Grayson County Agriculture-Recreation Board, serving as secretary-treasurer for two years. He was the chairperson and manager of the first walking horse show held at the Ag and Rec Park. He also coached the girls 16 and under summer softball team for eight years, advancing the girls, the first ever in Grayson, to the World Series of Girls Softball in Midland, Tex., finishing 9th - more available
