Principal named at Roosevelt Elementary - Allentown Morning Call

She replaces Donna Cortez, who has become principal of Jefferson Elementary in the East Penn School District. Bennett joined the Allentown district in 1996 as a first-grade teacher at Union Terrace Elementary School. She has held teaching positions at Washington and Ritter elementary schools. In addition, she has been involved in instructional support and served administrative internships at Union Terrace, Midway Manor Elementary and Wilson Early Childhood Centers. Bennett received a bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education from Bloomsburg University. She completed a master's degree in computers in education K-12 from DeSales University and earned her principal certification from Penn State University, Lehigh Valley Campus, in 2005. Roosevelt Elementary, at 210 W.
