Marywood to honor Presidential medalists - Scranton Times
--> --> Clear 45°5 Day Forecast Mr. and Mrs. Tressler are longtime supporters of Marywood University. Mr. Tressler, a retired bank president and past member and chairman of the Marywood University Board of Trustees, has a Marywood Presidential Scholarship named in his honor. Currently the board chairman at Keystone College, Mr. Tressler has led or been on several committees, councils and boards over the past 30 years. He was most recently honored with the Four Chaplains Humanitarian Award and was the Scranton Heart Gala honoree for the local chapter of the American Heart Association. Mrs. Tressler is also an active volunteer, serving dozens of organizations locally, including the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, Holy Family Residence, Friends of the Poor, Mercy Hospital, the Scranton Cultural Center, the Boy Scouts of America and Easter Seals. She has also served as a board member of the Deutsch Institute Foundation, Meals on Wheels, the American Cancer Society and the Voluntary Action Center. The Presidential Society of Marywood University includes members who annually donate $1,000 or more to the university.
