Entertainment Calendar - Charlotte Observer
HOLIDAY ART CRAWL: 5:30-9 p.m. Nov. 17, downtown Hickory. Visit downtown galleries. Included will be free, 30 minute yoga classes at Hickory Yoga; Rose Mary Cheek Photography displaying works by her first- and second-year Catawba Valley Community College students; Full Circle annual Holiday Happenings exhibit with guest speaker potter Courtney Long 6-6:30 p.m.; Fanjoy-Labrenz featuring holiday prints and entertainment; Taste Full Beans displaying photography of Marcus Baker, pottery by emerging artists and paintings from the Foothills Painters Guild; Spainhour Gifts Co. featuring prints by pet artist Mark Durham; Hickory Community Theatre featuring art of Patty Fenick and with an opening reception. Other artists whose works will be on display include Steven Brooks, Joe Lafone, Larry Heath, Christy Steffer and Huldah Bewley. "Wonder of the World" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. at Hickory Community Theatre.
