The Art of the Decoy: Duck Hunting on the Lower Columbia River through Oct. 2006 Astoria The Columbia River Maritime Museum has a new exhibit of duck decoys, skiffs and photographs of the lower Columbia River estuary. More than 20 decoys, all from Astoria carvers -- including Charles Bergman, Jack Bay and Charles Pice -- are on display, featuring some of the finest hand-carved and painted Pacific Northwest decoys to be exhibited on the West Coast. Astoria-built duck boats from the shop of Ernie Gustin also are on display, accompanied by large images of the lower Columbia River estuary captured by photographer Michael Mathers.
