Dr. Wick met Jeff, her future husband, during the first week at The University of Texas South-western Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Wick said since both of them grew up in Tyler, they had much to talk about that first night. She continued her training at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in pediatrics. She began her practice as a pediatrician in 1996 in Tyler.
