James Brinkley to Join Smith Barney as Vice Chairman - Business Wire (press release)
Mr. Brinkley has also held several key positions in securities industry organizations, including roles as the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Securities Industry Association, former Chairman of the District Business Conduct Committee of the National Association of Security Dealers and Trustee of the Securities Industry Institute. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the College Of William And Mary in 1959 and received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the College Of William And Mary in February 2003. Active in his local community, Mr. Brinkley was recently honored as the Alex de Tocqueville Society Philanthropist of the Year. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business Volunteers Unlimited in Maryland.
