Ione Ridlington - Grand Coulee Star
Ione attended college at Milwaukee Downer, Iowa State Teacher's College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in home economics. She received her masters degree and Dietitian Degree from Barnes Hospital in Missouri. Upon completion of her education she married Walter Ridlington. She was a dedicated wife, mother and teacher. She taught high school home economics and many other subjects at Coulee Dam High School. She was also a member of the Coulee Dam Community Church for many years. She was a firm believer in the value of education. She had a curious mind and loved science and observing wildlife, especially birds. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and was highly skilled at this hobby. She had a beautiful alto voice and loved to sing in church choirs and knew all the words to most hymns.
