Temte received her Ph.D. in college student services administration from Oregon State University in 1997. She is currently the executive director of business training and community development at Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, Wash. From 1996-2005, she was the chief academic officer at Wenatchee Valley College, serving as the vice president of instruction and student development from 2002-2005. From 1993-1996, Temte was dean at Mesabi Community College in Virginia, Minn.
