FAYETTEVILLE— Stone Mountain (Ga.) Redan linebacker LaMarcus Thompson has set an official visit date to his favorite school. Thompson, 6-1, 203 pounds, 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, will visit Arkansas the weekend of Dec. 2-4, and a decision could come at that time as well. “[Assistant] Coach [Tracy] Rocker and I are establishing a very good relationship,” Thompson said. “We talk each week. I may commit while I’m on my visit.” It’s down to Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas for Thompson, who had 113 tackles, including 17 tackles for loss and 5 sacks, as a senior. “I’m really pleased with the Arkansas offer,” Thompson said. “It impressed me when Coach Rocker offered me so early. More than likely, that is where I’m going to sign.” Thompson said he will play outside linebacker for the Razorbacks. He plans to major in architecture in college. “I want to go where they play a fast-paced defense,” Thompson said. “I have very good vision at linebacker. In high school, the play seemed to develop so slow.
