Thinking outside the juice box - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Between 1970 and 2000, the harvested cranberry acreage in Wisconsin rose from fewer than 6,000 acres to 14,000, as growers planted new marshes, renovated existing marshes to produce higher yields and adopted yield-enhancing production processes, according to an industry report prepared by Ed Jesse, professor and extension agriculture policy specialist for the Department of Agriculture and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
