JOHN'S Institute Team A secured two victories in their recent games in the Basketball Unified Sports Group held at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center. The SJI-A cagers first secured a victory over the Don Bosco Technical Institute from Victorias City after the latter backed out from the cagefest. They were supposed to dust the hardcourt last October 8. The SJI-A team, on the other hand, was able to defeat the dribblers from the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School Team A yesterday. The SJI-A depended on the dribbling stunts of cager Joshua Co who fielded 12 points in the game. SJI-A cager Kenneth de Leon added seven points to help the team secure 15, 7 and 15 in the first to third quarters, respectively, to earn a final score of 45 while USLS-A earned 17 points. The SJI Team B, on the other hand, defeated their counterpart team from USLS Sunday. Daniel Ma, of SJI-B, bannered five points to help his team secure 6, 4, 2 points from the first to third quarters, respectively.
