Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights Sunday, Nov. 20-Sunday, Jan. 1 Roseburg The kickoff to the light show is a performance (Sunday, Nov. 20 only) of "The Nutcracker" by the Eugene Ballet Company and local dancers. Afterward, the lights come on in River Forks Park, where a 12-mile drive-through of 300,000 lights and 80 displays attracts more than 30,000 visitors a year; 3-D glasses available. Net proceeds provide scholarships for high school graduates. Hours and tickets: Ballet: 3 p.m., Umpqua Community College's Jacoby Auditorium, 1140 Umpqua College Road (Exit 129 from Interstate 5); $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Light show continues nightly through Jan. 1: 5:30-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday, River Forks Park, five miles west of Roseburg via Garden Valley Road; $7 per carload, $1 per person in vans and $40 per bus.
