?Rainbow' brightens Schweinfurth walls - Auburn Citizen
AUBURN - It's not every day that students get to see their artwork hanging in a venue like the Schweinfurth Art Center. So there was a buzz of excitement and pride among many of the students at the “Both Ends of the Rainbow” exhibit, which premiered this weekend.The exhibit, which runs until Feb. 26, features artwork from area students and senior citizens. Also on display at the museum is artwork and poems that will be featured in this year's Three Lakes Sampler book, put out through the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES.“I was really excited when I got it,” said Alexis Tucker, a junior at Moravia High School. Tucker had a painting featured in the exhibit last year and had a photograph selected for the Three Lakes Sampler this year. “I didn't know that he would think it was good enough to be in the Three Lakes Sampler.”Tucker's photograph featured her sister, because Tucker said “she loves to be the center of attention.” The entries were submitted by teachers - Tucker took the photograph for one of her classes, but said even after the class ends, she would like to continue taking photographs as a hobby.Also to be featured in the Three Lakes - more available
