Victory validates Warner policies - Roanoke Times
"I think that the image of the Democratic Party has been transformed over the last four years in Virginia because of what we have done, along with our colleagues in the legislature," said Warner, who may soon start laying the groundwork for a 2008 presidential campaign. "We've clearly been the party of fiscal responsibility. We've clearly been the party of economic growth and job creation. We've been the party of investments in education, but also a real focus of measuring results."
