Martin County school digest: October 16 - Stuart News (subscription)
Bettina Almeida in Mrs. Chevalier's fourth grade class discovered an error in her chapter book entitled "Million Dollar Kick." She wrote a letter to its publisher, Hyperion Publishing, indicating what the mistake was; the sentence started out "Once I year, I" instead of reading "Once a year, I." Bettina received an individualized letter from Hyperion acknowledging the error and thanking her for catching it. Hyperion also sent Bettina "Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg," for her to keep, along with a different book for the classroom library. Mr. Boudreau's, Mrs. Chevalier's, Mr. Dictor's, Mrs. Gorski's, and Mr. Stark's fourth grade classes all enjoyed their fourth grade incentive on Wednesday. The teachers are proud of their students who earned extra indoor or outdoor recess with the other responsible, respectful fourth classmates.
