Quezon women take lead in recovery - Manila Times
Random interviews conducted by the PCIJ with several women in Quezon revealed that they would have liked more skills training to give them more opportunities to earn. Their performance in the Oxfam cash-for-work program, though, shows that the resourcefulness of Quezon’s women could well see them through even in the absence of such training. Gorgonio said the women simply learned on the job, and produced sterling results, even if they had to do backbreaking work like building irrigation canals.
